Exit at La Jolla Village Drive/Miramar Road. Turn west onto La Jolla Village Drive (towards UTC Shopping Center). Turn right onto Genesee Avenue. Self-parking is available in the parking lot across from the Shiley Eye Institute (P760), as well as in the Athena Parking Structure in the numbered Patient/Visitor parking spaces. Rate is $4 for half-day (up to four hours) and $8 for full day parking (longer than four hours). The machines accept credit card or cash (exact bills required $1 or $5 only and the machine does not give change).
Note your parking space number and pay at the pay stations using cash or credit card. You do NOT need to display your ticket on your dashboard. $8 parking allows you in-and-out privileges for 24 hours. Just park in any visitor spot when you return and display the ticket on the dashboard of your car.
With a disabled placard, parking is free in any patient or visitor spot.
