A preoperative examination is required for all patients undergoing surgery. Please bring the following with you when you come to the Shiley Eye Institute:
During your preoperative appointment, our nurse practioner will review the medications that you can safely take prior to surgery. Please do not make any changes to your current medications until advised by your physician or nurse practioner.
You may use the surgery parking lot on the southeast side of the Shiley Eye Institute for 20-minute patient drop-off & pick-up only. For day parking, please use the Athena Parking Structure located directly across the street.
To reach the surgery suite, proceed down the outside south entrance walkway from the surgery parking lot. Take the elevator located toward the end of the walkway on the left to the third floor. Once on the third floor turn left to reach the check-in lobby.
If you get lost when going to your appointment, please call (858) 422-7532.
