Andrew M. Vo, O.D., FAAO, FSLS earned his bachelor's degree in Biochemistry at the University of California, Riverside, and his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of California, Berkeley. He then completed a residency in Cornea and Contact lenses at the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton where he received extensive training in fitting all types of contact lenses and gave several lectures. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the Scleral Lens Society.
Dr. Vo’s clinical focus involves specialty contact lenses, myopia control, and ocular disease. He fits specialty contact lenses for keratoconus, post-surgical corneas, severe dry eyes, aphakia and myopia control. He is experienced working with a variety of contact lenses including scleral lenses. He helped establish the UCSD Myopia Control Clinic and provides state of the art treatment to children to slow the progression of myopia. Additionally, Dr. Vo is part of the Acute Eye Care Clinic where he triages and cares for patients with emergent eye related issues such as flashes and floaters, sudden loss of vison, and eye pain.
