Jolene Rudell, MD, PhD specializes in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. Dr. Rudell received her MD, PhD. degree from the University of California Davis, where her PhD was in the field of neuroscience. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at UC Davis, and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the University of Washington.
Dr. Rudell’s practice focuses exclusively on pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. Her clinical interests encompass patients with strabismus/eye misalignment/double vision, amblyopia, pediatric cataracts, nasolacrimal duct disorders, congenital eye syndromes, and systemic diseases affecting the eyes. She also participates in extensive basic science research, with goals to better understand strabismus and extraocular muscle disease, and seek improved treatments for strabismus patients. She has won multiple research awards for her research endeavors. She is a Fellow with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
