Carol Y. Yu, O.D, F.A.A.O. earned both her bachelor's degree in Integrative Biology and Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of California, Berkeley. She then completed a residency in Primary Care with emphasis in Cornea and Contact Lenses at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she received advanced training in fitting specialty contact lenses and managing dry eye and ocular diseases. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Yu’s clinical focus involves specialty contact lenses, ocular disease, and primary eye care. She fits specialty contact lenses for keratoconus, post-surgical corneas, severe dry eyes, aphakia, and myopia control. She is experienced working with a variety of contact lenses including scleral lenses, hybrid lenses, and multifocal and toric soft or rigid contact lenses. Additionally, Dr. Yu triages and cares for patients with emergent eye related issues in the Acute Eye Care Clinic. She also provides comprehensive eye examinations.
